These are the pages of the book in white. Unfortinatly i can't post the colour ones just yet, because i gave all the material to print. But i think that tomorrow or the latest on wensday i will be able to do so.

Now a days Matryoshka reflects the liberal look of modern Russia. Contemporary Matryoshka can change its image from cartoon heroes to influential people of Russia.

With the fresh wind political change in Russia in early 90s appeared a new fashion religion. Religios topics for Matryoshka became more and more popular.

With communism the appearance of Russian doll has changed dramatically. The main colours were red and yellow. There was no particular theme and all the dolls were practically the same. Matryoshka of that time represented the idea of communism.

Matryoshka in the beginning of the 20th century got a new theme. The Royal family was illustrated in a new type of Matryoshka, using bright colours and rare types of wood.

The first dolls were made by poor village people as a toy for children to play and of cause it was nothing more then just a wooden doll without any bright colours. The original Matryoshka depicted a riugh image of a simple Russian woman.

Creation of the pop-up book which illustrates the evolution of Russian doll through out the social, political and economical changes in Russia.
